Creative Mentorship
I have struggled for most of my life with imposter syndrome, perfectionism & self-doubt. I’ve felt stuck and like there was so much art inside of me that I didn’t know how to create. It all seemed out of reach. After many years of inner work, my mindset shifted and I wanted to give everything a go— despite the outcome. For the first time, I trusted myself and put full belief into my ideas, and made them real. This gave me such a buzz that I carried on thinking, planning, making, but most of all trusting myself that I could do it, and at the very least I could learn something from it.
Art is a beautiful thing even in its perceived failure. There actually is no such thing as failure, only learning. We have to wade through the mud to get to the gold. And that messy, muddy middle is art in itself.
In my mentoring, I don’t want to make you a carbon copy of me, I want to support you to become your own artist and have confidence in the artist you already are. How to get your ideas out & into the world, find your style, and build that all-important self-trust. Everything you need is already inside of you.
My approach to mentoring is to show you how I do things, offer new approaches, challenge existing ideas and lend a helping hand. The beautiful part of this work is that I have so much to learn from you too. I believe we learn best when we feel equal, supported and safe, and that’s the environment I strive to create with every mentorship.
