Artist Uncovered - £450
As photographers, we know how important it is to get in front of the camera ourselves, we know putting ourselves in the place of our clients is important. But there is something more that happens when we allow ourselves to be truly witnessed. Placing ourselves in vulnerability, handing over control to another entirely, this does not come easily as a photographer. Allowing someone else to look into us, notice our moments, our slight smiles, our shy glances. I believe it is essential to be deeply seen for our development as artists. We need to practice being seen in order to grow, in order to see others fully. That is why I’m so excited about this new offering, Artist Uncovered sessions.
In these sessions I will not only take your photo, I’ll journey with you through letting go of control and letting in the elements. Working with each other, allow me to witness you and reflect back to you the artist inside. These can look & take place in whatever way feels right to you, whether that’s out in nature, at home, nude or clothed.

I feel so incredibly lucky to have been seen through Emily’s lens. Her way of viewing the world and the people she holds space for is nothing short of magical. The photoshoot itself was an empowering experience which I’ll never forget. I felt alive, respected and free to be my authentic myself. Emily has a beautiful way of providing gentle direction whilst still being in the moment. As a photographer myself I know the challenges that come with this, but Emily managed it all with total ease.

Why is artist uncovered different from other sessions?
I can speak first-hand to the experience of being witnessed as a photographer, by a photographer, having had my photo taken by over 30 talented artists. Each time I learnt something, whether that be about the way they handled me and made me feel, or how I felt about myself and how I wanted to be seen.
These lessons inevitably bled into my own way of making art & how I handle others. It developed and continues to develop my craft, and I wouldn’t be the artist I am today without these experiences.
